Who we are
TapeCheck (“we”, “us”) runs tapecheck.xyz. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. For any question or request, email privacy@tapecheck.xyz.
What we collect, and why
- Nothing you have to give us. There is no sign-up, no email list and no contact form on this site. If you want to reach us you reply on a public profile, which is a conversation on that platform under their terms, not data we hold. We removed the newsletter and the message box rather than keep collecting things we did not need.
- Visitor numbers: we count page views and where visitors arrived from, using Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, does not use browser storage, does not follow you across sites, and does not collect anything that identifies you. That is why there is no cookie banner here: there are no cookies to consent to.
Who else sees it
Vercel hosts the site and counts page views. They process data on our behalf under a data-processing agreement and are based in the United States; transfers are protected by the provider's UK transfer safeguards (the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or the UK IDTA). We do not sell your data, and we have nothing about you to sell.One disclosure we do not control: pages showing live market data call Hyperliquid's public API directly from your browser, so Hyperliquid receives your IP address and user-agent as part of that request. We send them nothing about you, and no account or identifier is involved.
How long we keep it
We hold no subscriber list and no message history, so for almost everyone the answer is that there is nothing to keep. Analytics counts are aggregate and retained by Vercel for thirty days. If you ever sent us something through the old contact form before we removed it, email us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, or receive a copy. You can withdraw consent at any time: every email has a one-click unsubscribe, or email us. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
