The copy-trading leaderboard’s number one, traced to the wallets behind the handle
A copy-trading app’s leaderboard, filmed for an affiliate reel, showed its top trader up about eight hundred thousand dollars. The app lists two public wallets for that trader, so we looked at both. The exchange account rose to about fifty-five thousand in June and has sat at forty-two cents since, and over its life it lost eighteen thousand. The Solana wallet has lost seventy-six thousand and holds five hundred and twenty dollars. Add up every gain in both wallets, ignore every loss, and you still cannot reach the board’s figure. Nobody has to have lied for that to be true: the app decides how its leaderboard is computed and does not say, and the affiliate filmed the number. The wallets are the tape.
On 29 August an affiliate reel for a copy-trading app showed the app’s “Top PNL” leaderboard with favel at number one on +$814,775.94. The app’s own public username lookup lists two wallets for that handle, one on Solana and one on the exchange where the app’s perpetual trades settle. Both are public, so we read them. The exchange account was funded in June, did 2,225 trades and $10.5 million of volume in three weeks, paid the app $5,071 in fees, peaked at $54,869 on 17 June and has held 42 cents since the end of June; over its life it is down $18,450. The Solana wallet is down $76,400 all-time, with $520 left in it and no trades in the thirty days before the reel. We are not saying favel made the claim, or that anyone lied: the figure is the app’s, the app does not publish how its leaderboard is computed, and an affiliate chose to film it. We are saying the number is not in any wallet we can find.
Wallets, as listed by the app’s public username lookup: Solana GdEZQDsaNdoy2vQev9qbJjmTfPh2Br8UvGh3bhpyUENv and EVM 0x8e5f1390b79cd90d447f92b612b74c7a6756e104, both linked from the receipt below. Exchange account (Hyperliquid, read from its public records on 4 September): 2,225 fills between 8 and 29 June, $10,533,675 notional, $5,070.94 in builder fees (the app’s attribution on each trade), 938 closed fills of which 344 were wins (36.7%), account value peaked at $54,869.17 on 17 June and stands at $0.42, all-time result −$18,449.58, 43 daily account-value samples. Solana wallet (Birdeye wallet analyzer, read by a person on 2 September): realized +$66,000, unrealized −$142,400, total −$76,400, 678 trades, 26.15% win rate, $520 left, zero trades in the 30 days before the reel. Ethereum: 110 token transfers, last on 2 August. Base: the public explorer’s counters gave 339 transfers one day and 740 the next, so Base is unquantified and counted as nothing, which favours the claim. Best case = every gain in either wallet counted and every loss ignored: $0 against a board figure of $814,775.94. The app does not publish its leaderboard method, so the figure cannot be reproduced from public data; the handle-to-wallet mapping is the app’s own, and if it is wrong the wallets are someone else’s and the figure is still unverifiable.

Best case for the claim: every gain in either wallet counted, every loss ignored, Base counted as nothing. That comes to $0 against a board figure of +$814,775.94. Not in any wallet we can find.
We are not saying favel made the claim, or that anyone lied. The figure is the app's, an affiliate chose to film it, and the app does not say how it is computed. We are saying the number is not in any wallet we can find.
- The Solana figures were read by a person from the analyzer's page on 2 September, not pulled by API. They will be replaced by a recorded API body when a key exists; the numbers are not expected to move.
- The exchange series is the exchange's own sampled account-value history (43 points). The fills are complete: 2,225 rows walked in 2,000-row pages.
- The handle-to-wallet mapping is the app's. If the app lists the wrong wallets for the handle, everything on this page is about someone else's wallets, and the board's figure is still unverifiable.
- The app does not publish how its leaderboard is computed, so the figure cannot be reproduced from any public data.
- Base activity exists and is unquantified; it is counted as zero in the best case, which favours the claim.
